International and local broadcasters’ gateway to Africa with strong C-band and Ku-band Platforms
- February 2012 :

Jerusalem – 1st February, 2012: SatLink Communications Ltd., a leading teleport providing global satellite services, has today announced that it has launched operations on the new AMOS-5 Satellite across Africa, on 17° East, to enable broadcasters to distribute its content Direct-To-Home (DTH) or via Cable TV, DBS, DTT, MMDS, Mobile TV and IPTV partners across the continent. The service, which is launched on the 1st February 2012, is available on the Pan African C-band coverage in DVB-S and DVBS-2 and additional two Ku-Band MCPC (Multi Channel Per Carrier) platforms to serve Sub Sahara countries.

Transmission of UK’s Royal Wedding To Benefit from New HD Technologies

Over Four Tons of Hummus on One Dish Sets Guinness World Record
Jerusalem - January 2010 :

Today a partnership between SatLink Communications Ltd. and Israeli restaurateur and businessman Jowdat Ibrahim created the world’s largest plate of Hummus, the Middle Eastern delicacy at 4090 kilograms. Loaded onto a six-meter satellite dish provided by SatLink, the event brought together food aficionados and an official adjudicator from the Guinness World Records organization to Abu Gosh, a village located outside of Jerusalem. SatLink, sponsors of the record-breaking event, and Ibrahim of Abu Gosh unveiled the world’s largest hummus platter, consisting of three tons of chickpeas blended with one ton of tehina paste, and over 5,000 pita breads with which to scoop up the delicacy.
